Raised by scientists

Maria was born in the far away city of Kiev, Ukraine. She has been involved in arts since she was 6 years old. After completion of high school and Art School in Kiev, she moved to the Unites States to study and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. While holding four other jobs—one of the more interesting was building architectural models for the model shop at Bass Pro—she acquired professional design experience at a few different design shops before becoming a part of Departika.

Maria is also a per-course teacher at Missouri State University, speaks 3 languages and can load ammo into a Kalashnikov machine gun in 41 seconds. Secretly, she was sent to Springfield by the KGB to spy on John Q. Hammons (please, don’t tell anyone…or else).
