We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest project, Mediaslap—an online resource for buying and selling Photoshop brushes.
We will be expanding the site on the fly including artist submission tools, new brushes and new features that provide value for the contributing artists and designers. If you are interested in submitting your brushes you can find the info here.

Departika Steps into the Ring
Veer recently asked a Departikan to be a contender in their latest Lightboxing bout. Katie, who thinks Veer promotions are the best non-junk-junk mail ever, took on the challenge and was matched up with Tom Huveners of Belgium in the opposing corner. Veer supplied both fighters with the same six design elements in a lightbox and gave them until the clock struck twelve to explore the theme of Midnight.
The rules were simple. Using only the images and type provided in a Veer lightbox, make a design. something great. Crop. Cut. Paste. Fight dirty. Write copy. Make a knockout design. Then the judges and the voting public decide the winner of the bout. To vote you will need to log into your Veer account or create a new one, then you can chime in on your favorite design. Of course we are biased and hope you vote for us, but may the best contender win. Vote here.
Mediaslap
We’ve been working feverishly on our latest Departika project, Mediaslap—A website providing “Photoshop Brushes of the Highest Standard” to designers, scrapbookers, photographers, agencies and do-it-yourselfers. Mediaslap sells Photoshop brushes created by our team and hand-selected artists from around the world. We are launching the first version at the end of June and plan on expanding quickly to include tools that provide value for the contributing artists and community. We plan to listen and learn from the artists and consumers, apply what we learn to the site, and refine it to become the best resource possible for finding and licensing Photoshop brushes.

FlyGuyDesigns.com is Hijacked
Update 5-16-08. Dan has control back of www.flyguydesigns.com
As you may know, Dan sells photoshop brushes at his personal site Flyguy Designs. In a recent turn of events, his domain has been stolen and hijacked. The hijacker has replaced the payment codes, deleted server files, embedded spam links in the source code and is a down right dirty scumbag. If you purchase a product, you get nothing in return and the scammer just stole your cash. So for the time being, do not download anything from Flyguy Designs until this gets worked out. We are pulling for Dan’s Host to play nice so he can get control back of the domain. Stay tuned for more info.

We finally launched our new site! We swore it was coming and we were not lying...it just took a little longer than we thought, as we were really busy making our clients happy.
