Mediaslap
We’ve been working feverishly on our latest Departika project, Mediaslap—A website providing “Photoshop Brushes of the Highest Standard” to designers, scrapbookers, photographers, agencies and do-it-yourselfers. Mediaslap sells Photoshop brushes created by our team and hand-selected artists from around the world. We are launching the first version at the end of June and plan on expanding quickly to include tools that provide value for the contributing artists and community. We plan to listen and learn from the artists and consumers, apply what we learn to the site, and refine it to become the best resource possible for finding and licensing Photoshop brushes.

FlyGuyDesigns.com is Hijacked
Update 5-16-08. Dan has control back of www.flyguydesigns.com
As you may know, Dan sells photoshop brushes at his personal site Flyguy Designs. In a recent turn of events, his domain has been stolen and hijacked. The hijacker has replaced the payment codes, deleted server files, embedded spam links in the source code and is a down right dirty scumbag. If you purchase a product, you get nothing in return and the scammer just stole your cash. So for the time being, do not download anything from Flyguy Designs until this gets worked out. We are pulling for Dan’s Host to play nice so he can get control back of the domain. Stay tuned for more info.

We finally launched our new site! We swore it was coming and we were not lying...it just took a little longer than we thought, as we were really busy making our clients happy. Take a look around, make sure to read the Departikan bios for a laugh or two, buy a poster, check out samples of our work, subscribe to the RSS feeds for the Blog and the Daily Finds, and enjoy!
New Brush Set of Bangin’ Borders
These Photoshop Border brushes are bangin’! They are perfect for digital scrapbooking or photography, and are compatible with Photoshop CS and above. For those using an earlier version of Photoshop or a different program, we have provided PNG files. Get them here.
Buggers Brush Set 2 is Available
Set 2 of Beautiful Buggers Photoshop Brushes have arrived. Like Beautiful Buggers Set 1, these brushes are a mixture of strange plants and odd bugs. They will be a perfect compliment to all of your Spring and Summer-themed designs. Get them here.
We are Lightboxing at Veer
Veer asked one lucky Departikan to be a featured fighter in their next round of Lightboxing. What is Lightboxing you ask? “Two designers are invited to create designs based on a particular theme, from products in a lightbox. The lightbox contains images and/or typefaces, chosen by the Veer creative team. The rules are simple: make something great, crop, cut, paste, use filters and fight dirty. Make a knockout design and the judges choose a winner using a completely subjective scoring system.” We say bring it on.
